Monday night saw a guest all the way from OZ taking to the sky with Steve Crabtree's trusty if well abused foamy warbird. Mark is on a 3 week holiday and took to the skies on a buddy lead to try our airspace out. I can report a good time was had and think we will see Mark again over the coming weeks. Also a major milestone for member Paul Smith who took to the skies for the first time with his shiney new Trex 500. With hoop undercarriage installed Paul took his first steps toward a stable hover very well and managed to keep the heli and the foamy P51 mustang, also on maiden flight, in one piece. Colin Terry also treated us to the second flight of his newly completed autogyro, built from plans and looking very majestic in the evening sun it made it through an "interesting" if not bottom clenching hand launch in one piece to settle very nicely and fly with aplomb, not to mention a perfect near vertical approach and landing. Top notch old boy. So a good evening was had by all let's just hope the weather gives us a few more nice evenings to play out.
